*Guidelines as to what is an "Accredited Investor"?
An investor that is:
(a) A ‘wholesale client’ or ‘sophisticated investor’ as defined in Section 761G of the Corporations Act, Australia, which generally includes:
An income last two years of AU$250K for each year
or:
Net assets of AU$2.5M
or:
Gross assets of AU$10M (Have or control)
or:
Assessed by a licensee as having previous experience in using financial services and investing in financial products.
AND
(b) If the investor resides outside of Australia, it is a person to whom an invitation or offer can be made as permitted by the laws of the jurisdiction in which they are situated without the need for any prospectus, registration, lodgement, or other formality, including specifically for the following jurisdictions:
(i) Singapore – The investor must be an Accredited Investor under the Security and Futures Act.
(ii) Hong Kong – The investor is a Professional Investor under the Securities and Futures (Professional Investor) Rules.
An investor declaring that they are an ‘Accredited Investor’, may only do so after making appropriate enquiries and having sought advice from a suitable qualified advisor.
